Zeus Engineering are pleased to announce the arrival of their most recent investment – a brand new Doosan Puma 700LM Lathe.

The Puma 700LM has the ability to turn components 900mm diameter x 3200mm long.  Also, with Capto Live Tooling, the machine brings new capabilities to Zeus Engineering.  The Live tooling feature will allow more efficient and effective manufacturing techniques which will enhance our capabilities of the manufacturing processes we are able to perform.

AGZ Group funding has allowed the kids to be kitted out for the League beginning in March – CLYFA (Central Lanarkshire Youth Football Association)

AGZ Group were pleased to provide sponsorship for a recent event at Lanarkshire Ice Rink.

The ladies of the rink held a charity curling competition in aid of Marie Curie, a very worthwhile cause.

The photograph shows the Carmunnock and Rutherglen Hamilton Section Team, who were “Working for Marie Curie”.

A great day was had by all the teams – winners or not!

Fire Marshal Training

AGZ Group employees from Argon, Gillrick and Zeus today completed their fire marshal course carried out by our training partner Albacare.

Stefan from Albacare delivered an excellent course with everyone braving some chilling winds today to practice tackling some fire scenarios on the practical session.

AGZ Group are pleased to continue our partnership with Albacare who provide training for all our fire marshals, first aiders and maintain our public access defibrillators available that are on site, ensuring all employees and the public are in safe hands should an emergency arise.

CITB Certification

Argon supervisor Jason Woodside has successfully completed the CITB awarded Site Safety Supervisor Training Scheme (SSSTS)

This training further broadens Jason’s knowledge of the legal responsibilities regarding health, safety, welfare and environmental issues while on site.

It also demonstrates AGZ groups investment in its staff training and the importance it places on the health, safety and wellbeing of all its staff while at work.

Zeus are pleased to announce the imminent arrival of our new Doosan Puma 700LM in January 2019. 

The 24” Chuck along with the 3200mm bed length further increases our varied turning capacity.

With a strong order book, the 700LM shall be producing as soon as commissioning is complete.
